Well I am a newbie with chucks, dreamed of having them for many years. So affectionate, lovely silly creatures, don't know what it is about them, just a few things, I love the noises they make and atm I am learning 'hen language' little different things for each time of the day and lots of others in between. Their innocence is bliss. They are bringing me much joy. I love animals altogether especially our domestics. I have a dog and three horsaes too. My dog loves the chucks. She is a JR but not at all 'bitey'. She is so funny with the chickens, slow intro going on. They are still in 'house' atm. We are building run at the weekend. She has taken to laying outside pen all day, and has got very territorial about neighbours, barking and growling at any noise from neighbours. So funny, I can not at this stage let her any closer to them, so building a pen so she can see them running round for a bit before finally introducing. They will all be fine in time and hens will then be 'free range' in the garden with dog to look after during the day then in at night. We are always home, so will always be here to watch out tina2012
