Thrifty uses for Household Products

Using products you have around the home for other jobs

You go into almost any Cupboard in any Home and you will usually find an enormous selection of Household Cleaners, Disinfectants and other bits and pieces. Then look around the Larder, the Shed, virtually anywhere else and you'll also find products which one has brought for a purpose, then it's been shut away for that 'I may need it one day' event!


These pages may well be teaching people to suck eggs, but there are so many things which are of multi use, can save us £££'s on our shopping bills, plus of course and because they have multi uses may well come in handy in the event of an emergency.

At present I have gathered together a fair few items which can be used for other jobs beside the job they were brought for, I'm sure this is probably a very small amount and could go into hundreds!

But it's not just about saving money and being thrifty for thifty's sake, it's about re-cycling as well. We throw away billions of empty cartons, canisters and other items which could well be used for another purpose, even if it's just delaying whatever it is of it's inevitable end.

It's always hard to wear the frugal hat for everything, because for many people on lower incomes etc. have a frugal hat on all the time, but they don't call it that, they call it more thrifty or just acting and buying naturally within their means.
