I regret my last ideas for The Dragon’s Den ( click here ) were not included in the show. It’s probably best because the one about playing the Des O’Connor Album when a car radio’s volume exceeded a certain limit had to be put on hold as I couldn’t get a copy and was not able to afford the postage from the one shop I found which stocked it in Mombasa where it has remained in the top 50 album chart’s for the last 68 years.

So, regardless of saving my money as an investment in my new Dentures which I am to have fitted in 2 weeks time, I have been able to do some prototype work on the following three ideas;

Car non-interference by noise device
Most people have had the experience of taking their kids to school by car. This is usually at a very busy time when concentration of driving is essential to personal and family safety.
The problem lays when the kids in the back start having a punch up over some ridiculous thing such as who actually did put the Goldfish in Dad’s White Spirit bottle the previous evening.
Well, the answer….A device screwed onto the ceiling in the back of the car. When operated by a switch on the dashboard, a small boxing glove looking pad with double sided tape swings down and places itself on the kid’s mouth.
Tests so far have been positive, but should the kid’s be less than 4’8″ it sticks on their head and pulls most of their hair out upon removal.
More to follow on that one.

Anti Politician TV Zapper
A simple device and very effective. When a Politician comes on the screen, you push the button and it changes channel to one you have typed into the memory button.
As soon as I have resolved the slight fault where it always changes to a channel showing a programme about a couple wanting to move house so they get on the Telly, or Flog It, just when the chaps saying “And what are you going to put the £16.87 towards? A holiday in Australia! great”, it’ll be fine.

The False Nose
This is designed especialy for Contestants appearing on The Dragon’s Den. It’s so simple I can’t believe I am the first to come up with it.
Basically it fits over their existing nose and stops the nose getting longer and longer as they explain to the Dragon’s what an amazing invention they have and the millions just sitting there waiting to be taken.
The finished model should be out in time for the next series and retails at the very reasonable sum of £1.75.

So, I await the first programme with great anticipation. Who will be the first contestant to squeeze some dosh out of them, who will be the first to be completely shown up on national television and which of the Dragon’s will hit one of the other Dragon’s first!

A great programme – can’t wait – and I should have my dentures fitted by the time the second programme comes on.

Footnote; Should there be anyone wishing to invest in me, which would enable me to sit at home all day writing website artciles for 2.5% net of the any income I may receive after I’ve paid the rent, please contact me. Otherwise, twenty quid cash would come in quite handy.

Added November 2010 – I was expecting to be called up by the BBC, but haven’t yet. There has to be something which isn’t quite right yet ???
