Re: Cooking Squash
Thank you so much for giving me a comprehensive answer. It's quite large and round - bigger than a football and its orange (like a pumpkin). I suspect that from what you've written it may have been harvested too early. I'm going to cook with it this afternoon and you've helped so much with more idea...

Cooking Squash
Hello
I've been given a large squash and not sure what to do with it. I'm thinking of using it to make soup then I can freeze some of it? Anybody got any suggestions? What have you done with them please?

Re: The neighbour has complained, can anyone help please?
If you are legally allowed to keep your hens in the garden then i would speak to EHO so that if your neighbour makes another approach you will be fully aware of where you stand. I also used to work nights, and during the day (which is what i call the time you state) there is lots of various noise - ...

Hello
Newbury in Berkshire - too far for my friend.... i'm sorry. They sounded like a perfect match and would have solved two problems with a good ending.

Re: So sad
Can you tell me where you are please? I know somebody looking for a hen near Newbury - she is down to one very strong character hen and wants another to go with her.

Re: Buying British
You're not ranting it's just frustrating when we seem to have lost our trade and so few people are being trained in any skills. It can seem like a downhill spiral. As for Tezzas - i had the dubious pleasure of working for them for a year and it made me realise why their staff always seem so miserabl...

The Kinky Knickers seem to be sold out everywhere so there must be others out there who share your thoughts. I do.

Re: Guinea Pig problem
Hello Miss Ellie
Thanks for the reply. I think she is slipping away now, led out, surrounded by hay. I dont think it will be long before my lovely Moses moves on. At least she seems peaceful.

Guinea Pig problem
Hello, please can i ask for your thoughts on my guinea pig. She is 7 and half years old and has been blind for approx 4 of those years (i believe she can see shadow through one eye). She lives indoors in a nice cage and is cleaned out every 3 days. She has always eaten well. My concern is that appro...

Re: Have Grand Plans.......
Hello I start my runner beans in the cardboard tubes from the middle of toilet rolls. I stand them up in a tray and fill them with compost and put a bean into each tube. Keep them watered and by the time they are ready to be planted in the garden the tubes have started to compost. Just a thought. I ...

Re: Yellow Bread
Hello June
Sorry for the delay. I make the bread by hand. I thought the supermarkets must add something / or use a different flour - but i just wondered if anybody had any thoughts about it.
