Channel 4 with The Earl Spencer

This was a rare treat, Charles Spencer presented a wonderful insight into Althorp, I would watch it again if repeated.

Re: New Photography Thread.

Beautiful Ilona. I am unable to work Ted's camera, and no instructions to be found.
Such a shame because yesterday morning the sky was streaked with pink.

Re: How does your garden grow?

I tend to do bits and pieces in the garden when Angel has her first venture of the day. This morning I felt quite strong, and pruned the rasps, which did practically nothing this summer. They have managed to escape the washing line and rope which is secured at each end of the row. Hopefully my young...

Re: How does your garden grow?

I see on an earlier post that I said we had a plum tree, not so, although we did at one time, I should have said pear. Outside the greenhouse, I have an antirhnum (how do you spell it), flowering in a plant pot, and a beautiful display of nerines inside the greenhouse. A honeysuckle is flowering in ...

Re: The Darling Buds of May

I have not watched the new series. I suppose TDBM will always be David Jason, and Pam Ferris, but I do like Bradley Walsh. Catherine Zeta Jones was stunning also. The new production of All Creatures Great and Small went down badly with me, but I became hooked on it after watching the second series, ...

All Creatures Great and Small

I was hugely disappointed with the last series of the new play. I grew up dosing myself with the original cast, and still watch re-runs! However, I am watching ACGS, which I think ends tomorrow. The acting is superb, and despite reservations about some of the characters, must give a shout to Mrs Hal...

Who Do You Think You Are - Judi Dench

I do not normally recognise most of the "celebs" in this programme, but managed to stay awake to watch last night. My recording device has packed up, and as everything else is working on my TV, I am forgoing coughing up for a new set. So, last night was Judi Dench, one of my favourite actresses. It ...

Re: Have you started stocking up for ... Christmas?

I have a turkey breast, cranberry sauce and Christmas pud already in case I am unable to go to family this year. Made my cake a few weeks since, and dosing it with rum!

It will all take time Michael. I am still wary of lifting two and a half months after my big gynae op. It is frustrating though!
