I sell my surplus £1 per half dozen to a few of my neighbours. My two grandsons love delivering them (wife watches thier ok from front garden gate) and they often get a tip of a lollypop or a few sweets from their customers.

If you hold back planting out while the soil is in a drier state I,m sure your rhubarb will thrive. When I took my allotment on I had some rhubarb that wasnt doing so well as it was old and not very vigarous. I,ve had a couple in the 8 months I,ve been keeping chickens. The eggs are really big compared to what they normally lay.

I feed layer pellets adlib and very seldom give treats, although I have recently been feeding a small amount of mixed corn late afternoon to help keep them warm at night.

Started off with 7 hatched another 4 from eggs, rehomed a cockeral two days ago so now have 10. but maybe looking to add som banties this year.

I plant Desiree as my main crop potatoes mainly because it has a thick skin which helps deter slugs (although some years you wouldnt think so
)

I used to be secretary on our site upto a year ago, and in my experience some folk just like causin mischeif because it gives em a kick. I recon Dennis will have a happy outcome and your freind (R.I.P.) will have his wish honoured.

They managed 5 eggs (one of them a huge egg)this morning from 7 hens. Feed just layers pellets with the odd green treat every few days. Oyster shell available 24/7. Yesterday they managed 6 eggs

Cheers Spreckly I,m sure it will, it just seems all a bit unneccesary thats all, now that the council are happy the cockerels have gone. BTW I,m still waiting for the E-mail from the council.
