Just an update, chickens still doing great and all still in lay despite the cold and getting 4 eggs a day, I am now making them a small 18 inch passage way so they can also make their way to the back lawn for even more free ranging, they enjoy being petted and have tamed very quickly, only thing is ...

Hi, thank you for the replies, chickens doing great and have been free ranging from Wednesday, getting 3 eggs a day. One thing I have noticed is the hens are not vocal after laying an egg, my previous chickens ( bluebells and rir ) would always make a loud vocal noise for a few minutes after laying,...

If you are not sure you want to eat them then I would mash the egg up with some bread maybe and feed them back to the chickens, no point in wasting food when you have chickens.

Hi Bob, A good home is what I want for them, I can keep them till then just need to convince a neighbour to look after them in the few days each week I can not be home....

Hi. Can anyone confirm the restriction is not in Wales. I kept my chickens in there run today and they were not happy, squawked at the run door most of the day...

Yes and down the top sides as the mesh at the top has much wider gaps.

Hi, my drive has got a bit over run with weeds which the chickens do not seem to be intrested in removing, they have the odd peck at them now and again, my nosy (pain in the #rse) neighbour keeps telling me to use round up as it will not harm the chickens, i said there was no way as i would worry it...

Hi, sorry to hear about pie, can i ask what breed was she? Trying to find out how long i can expect my chickens to live for, have been told hybrids have a reduced life expectancy. I have 3 bluebells and 4 rir.
