Re: Does it count? Plastic birds.
Hi The UK 'official' listing British Birds are for native species. If a foreign bird pays a visit, such as the occasional bird from North America, they are not seen as native. Egrets and Spoonbills weren't listed as native until late 90's I think it was. Spreckers - I get a Goldcrest on the Leylandi...

Japanese Knotweed !
Hi I thought I saw some shooting up outside my kitchen window, about 6 plants. Apparently they've been growing for a few years (I only changed Flats in December so hadn't noticed). It looks like they've spread from the garden behind. I've told 'Management' but obviously nothing they can do for now, ...

Re: Cheapest Petrol Prices in your Area
Although I'd obviously rather the Planet was not in the terrible situation it is, it's caused a huge drop in petrol prices. The Garage close to me is selling at £1.06 a litre now (usually £1.26 > £1.29). I haven't used my car since 8th. March anyway and with many in the same situation their revenue ...

In a week, one 99 year old can make one third of what Children in Need did last November.
Incredible.
I look through loads of news web sites every day and it's been well covered in the American press as well !
Bravo.

In the garden here. I heard the familiar sound I used to hear down the Lane, but wasn't expecting two !! Long may they live and with fewer cars on the road for a few more weeks, fingers crossed. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/s960x960/94016950_10221728410376515_5062921523132628992_o...

Re: Problem paying video tapes
Poor you spreckers.
Maybe your PC man knows of someone who can convert your VHS to DVD.
The benefit of that would also be you can download from the DVD on to PC and it would be in two safe places.
Technology always changing !

Re: Problem paying video tapes
I was wondering as if there were two separate video players, one may not be switched into the right TV Socket, so you'd have to look through the bit that shows HDMi1, HDMi2, TV, etc. etc. But that would confuse. Personally I would find somewhere who can a). Repair the Tape Box, then b). Get them to ...

Hi Spreckers.
Do you mean a VHS Video ?
Also, are you using separate players for each video ?

Nice Wendy I have two walks (or 'Patches' as I call them). It's only about 200 meters to the edge of the countryside, so easy for walks. I hardly see anyone where I go. On the south side it's mainly fields, my average walk is just under 3 miles. The north side is in the boundary of the South Down Na...

Re: Blackbirds and Robins
There are two pigeons outside my flat which spend the whole day hanky pankying. Right racket. There's a Collared Dove who often comes down and see's them off ! On the leylandi above my feeders ten feet away from my kitchen window I get a twice daily visit from a Goldcrest. Keeps me entertained, love...
