Re: Little Women - 2019 film
I read the book and saw a very early film which I loved. I must say that I don't like most modernised remakes so wouldn't buy one. Such a shame when you settle down to a treat that you have been looking forward to.

Re: Have you stocked up just in case?
I am not stocking up but make sure I always have one back up of essential goods. I only have shopping delivered every 2 weeks so don't want to run out. Some tinned goods are still hard to get in my local supermarket.

Re: With an extremely heavy heart
Can't put into words how sorry I am. Your darling Mollie lived good age but whatever the age it is still like looking after child that has never grown up for 20yrs. A painful time for you Gwen, a pain that I still feel for my pets that I have lost so know how raw yours is.

Re: TV Licence
Received my forms for purchasing my TV licence last week and just set up my direct debit to pay monthly. Paying monthly doesn't cost any more and better to have the money sitting in my bank than the BBC's. I object very strongly, especially when people on pension top up or on other benefits get it f...

Re: Keeping busy during isolation
Looks as if you are keeping very busy Spreckly. There is always plenty to do in the garden and weeds growing non stop. Lovely that you have the company of Angel who must be so precious to you. Take care! X

Keeping busy during isolation
What have you all been doing to keep hands and minds busy? I started by doing some painting, then detoured to knitting toys. When I had my first surgery in April I was given lots of odd balls of wool from neighbours, bought a couple of Jean Greenhowe books and am knitting away. I have found homes fo...

Re: A Suitable Boy
I didn't watch it either. I watch very few dramas any more as I can't sit and concentrate on them any more. Even when relaxing I have to be doing something else. For people who did watch, it made a change to have something new after constant repeats.

Re: Thames severely polluted with plastic
I don't think we have any idea how much we are polluting this planet. So many things are polluted with plastic that we are unaware of. Not too long ago we were told how some bottled waters contain microscopic particles of plastic. What else? I can't understand why so much food is covered in plastic ...

Re: Car accident
Hard to do but try not to keep going over it in your head. It was an accident which happened so quickly that it will be hard to say what exactly happened. The important thing is that you are both alright thank God. It may have been him, it may have been you or a bit of both. You may never know so tr...

Goodness Gwen you don't do things by halves. You was unlucky to fall but so lucky that no real damage was done body wise. I hope it won't be too long before you are feeling more comfitable. Wishing you a speedy recovery and take care.xx
