Re: Positive about sorting my weight this time...
How do you feel about it? Do you think you'll feel better thinner, or will you stop after the dress? I'm not really sure how I feel. I've always thought of myself as far, even before children. I look at myself now and feel SO much better about myself than I did a few months back and because of that...

Re: Positive about sorting my weight this time...
Yes, sort of... I'm now 5lbs off my goal although now that I'm nearly there I've set my goal a bit lower! I've got a beautiful dress that I want to get back into - I reckon another 12lbs will do it... And ideally, to get back to my pre children weight I'd lose another 1.5st but I'm not sure if that ...

Re: Happy Valley
Last one tonight. Another excellent series
I made my mum watch it, telling her how good the first series was. She watched the first episode and crossly told me the next day she wouldn't be watching any more as "there's nothing happy about that valley!"

Re: What were your favourite books as a Child ?
I loved reading as a child (how lovely to have the time to sit and read for hours on end!). My first love was Heidi - I was too young to read it myself but my mum would read it to me every night. She would also read Roald Dahl which my brother preferred. The Roald Dahl books (particularly James &...

Re: Positive about sorting my weight this time...
How is everyone doing? We've all gone very quiet.... After a few weeks of fannying around I seem to have my head back in gear. Despite a very drunken night on Friday (that also involved a fair bit of cheesy garlic bread and deep fried Camembert ), hangover toast all day Saturday and an Indian buffet...

Re: Ex batt with red bum
Hi Hellychick and welcome to the lane Are her other feathers growing back ok? It sounds as if one of the others might be having a game of feather plucking or eating - they can be quite clever and only do it when you're not looking Try putting some sudocreme on the red area to soothe it. Also the red...

Re: help my exbats will not accept my newbys
You could try separating a couple of the ex batts (do you know who top chook is?) off so the newbies only have two to deal with. Then once the newbies and remaining ex batts become settled bring the other two back in.

Re: Positive about sorting my weight this time...
Had my weigh in this morning and 2lbs off - not sure how I've managed that as I've been rubbish this week
I'm out for dinner tomorrow night and again on Saturday so going to try to be very strict in between

I know how you feel Freeranger - I have fallen off the wagon the last couple of weeks too. Very thankful I haven't put any back on but frustrating that I can't get my head in gear to just get on with it and lose the rest
Can someone please give me a kick up the bum?

Re: Vegetarianism and B12 Deficiency
I had my B12 tested recently and while I wasn't deficient, I was right at the bottom of the 'normal' range. I've now also started taking a supplement to see if it helps. My GP regularly tests me for a few bits and bobs as I have a very underactive thyroid which supposedly can make you more susceptib...
