Re: Surge in keeping chickens interest
That's true Mo. I haven't kept chickens for four years and haven't added anything to the web site, all be it the information needed is still there plus google searches often find the Forum posts. The web site wouldn't be making anything from the surge, it makes nothing now !! But if it does bring ba...

My thoughts as well Gwen.
The fashion for keeping chickens diminished about 4 years ago.

Surge in keeping chickens interest
Apparently in yesterdays Sunday Telegraph there was an article about how, due to the current situation, Chicken Breeders are reporting a huge interest in keeping chickens in the back garden. Upon reading it I looked at the web site stats and noticed that views on the Breeders and information pages h...

Re: Is anyone stocking up on necessities
I've only a two drawer and top sliding tray freezer but have managed meats (thin stuff!), chicken and vegetables for probably ten days. In the Fridge I'm buying about 4 days worth at a time, all with long use by dates. Plus a few cans of thick soup and cakes ! Wish I was down the Lane still I wouldn...

Re: Henpal meet up no 7
Great stuff and hope something is sorted.
I'm unsure about myself as I have house sitting and bird feeding duties at someone's house virtually whole of September and early October.
I shall follow the thread accordingly.

Re: Signs of Autumn in East Yorkshire
We have a fair sized garden here and a few of the residents, between the fortnightly gardeners coming in, look after loads of potted plants, the weeding and general maintenance. Very similar here in so far there's definitely a feel of Autumn in the air, everything seems to be getting ready, the gree...

Re: spider things living on wild bird
Interesting Kitla.
We had House Martin Nests on the Grandstand at Canterbury.
One day in Winter it was decorated and they took the nests down - the House Martins appeared but left.
They tend to repair last years if they can.
Mind you, the paint may have put them off re-building.

Re: spider things living on wild bird
Agreed Mo.
They've probably just shared the nest together.
The parents could have brought whatever, the young ones have dropped them and they've reproduced beside the young birds.
Just a guess.

Hi Wendy
I'll do a video when back home.
In the meantime if you want to send me the photo via email, tell me where you want to put it and I'll do so.
