Thank you all. Yes, I have contacted both Sheltie Rescue, Sheltie friends, and also Rescue centres.

Shall I or shan`t I?
It is so very bleak without Angel. After five solitary weeks, I am thinking seriously about looking for another dog. Shetland sheepdogs are not easy to come by. Puppies, yes, but adult dogs, no. My GP sadi straight away, get another dog, several friends have also advised the same. So I am on the loo...

Re: Electric egg cooker
Never heard of one, LL. I don't have much luck with poaching an egg, despite all the advice. My egg poacher is a nightmare to clean.

Re: How does your garden grow?
My Magnolie Susan has shed all its leaves, and is covered in buds. I have a Liquid Amber tree in the front garden, and planned to photograph it in all its glory, but the wind beat me to it! The odd antirrhinum is flowering in the greenhouse, and my chrysanths are going over. They were nurtured by my...

Re: What are you listening to?
Crumbs, Trev, I have never heard of most of the people you mention!
Elvis, Johnny Cash, Abba, and Neil Diamond are my tops for pop music.

Re: Learning Guitar
Well done, Trev. If at first you don't succeed..... A friend's husband taught me, but I struggled with the F chord. I haven't played for years and wouldn't know my way around a guitar now. My middle son is musical and plays. When he was first playing, all we heard was The House of the Rising Sun! I ...

Re: My little dog Angel
Heartbreakingly this morning I took Angel on her final journey. Yesterday I had to take her to the emergency vet, who looked very grave. She has been wonderful company since I lost Ted four years since, the house is so quiet, too quiet.

Re: Selling second hand items
Last week I used Vinted to purchase a second gilet. No email confirming the item, and I haven't a clue how to find out what is happening. Will have to wait until my dil comes before Christmas. Not impressed. It doesn't look as if the money has gone out of my account, so something was amiss.

Re: Moles: A solution or coincidence?
I have some mole hills in the old veggie plot, which has beautiful soil, treated by Ted over the years. The main attack is in the churchyard, where there are several enormous mounds. My oldest son did mole catching as extra income, but has retired from so doing. The garlic thing is interesting.

Re: How does your garden grow?
Yes, Mo, the honeysuckle was in flower. Yesterday my gardener came. He comes about three to four time a year. He trimmed my front hedges and the leylandii on the trellis, cut my oak tree back (I grew it from an acorn), and a fir tree near the gate. I have a beautiful cotoneaster hedge at the bottom ...

Re: Selling second hand items
My daughter in law ordered a gilet for me in my presence, it should arrive in the next couple of days. My landline was down at the weekend, and an email arrived from Vinted with a code, which if not actioned was obsolete. I have mailed them and asked them to send me another one, but not heard back, ...

Re: Halloween & Bonfire Night
Thank you for the recipes, LL. I have never celebrated Halloween, but we did do Bonfire Night. There were four farms surrounding us when my sons were young, and always a huge village bonfire in one of the fields. The whole village participated, taking toffee, spuds, and I made a huge container of cu...
