Re: How many of you have had your second jab?
Wendy is a lot better today, back normal really. So fortunately looks like the side-effects last about a day, which is good as I have my second jab in a couple of weeks.

Re: How many of you have had your second jab?
Wend had her second jab yesterday at about midday. She was feeling a bit rough by evening and is really poorly again this morning so still in bed.
Hopefully, it is just a 24 hour thing. Still, better than getting Covid I suspect.

Made Amritsari Chole for dinner
As with all Indian food it is a bit of a faff on but as usual worth the effort. Basically, you soak your chickpeas (the Chole) overnight then pressure cook them with a couple of tea bags thrown in. These turn the chickpeas a dark brown. Then you cook onions and tomatoes and add your aromatic spices,...

Re: How many of you have had your second jab?
I spoke to an old friend in Bangalore, India yesterday and his wife has had one dose of the Astro-Zenica vaccine as manufactured in India and he has had two doses. The situation in India with regards to the availability of vaccines is pretty dire at the minute but apparently he got his through their...

How many of you have had your second jab?
Mrs Fab and I don't get our second one until towards the end of May. On a positive note even one jab appears to give good protection against serious illness.

Re: Edible Flowers
The poisonous ones are good to know too.
I've always fancied foraging for wild mushrooms but never felt I could identify the good ones from those that might kill you.
Will check out the Thompson and Morgan website - thanks.

Edible Flowers
With summer flowers on their way, I was wondering what flowers I can use to brighten up our salads. I know nasturtium flowers are edible and they are bright enough. In Thailand we use something called a 'butterfly pea' which are a beautiful blue colour.
Any ideas as to what to try/grow?

Re: Air Fryers - anyone use one?
I am looking to get an Air Fryer, just to make chips in really. Can anyone recommend a good model/make ? I couldn't recommend one as such as we have only ever had the one we got given. Here is a link to an Amazon web page for ours but I don't think it is made any more. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sign...

Re: How many of you have had your Covid jab?
I agree with Ilona that we need to be very careful with what we hear and read. The vaccine is currently being rolled out to people who are categorised as being at risk, a demographic were we would expect some to die of blood clots, strokes, heart attacks and the like. After all, over 20 million peop...

Re: How many of you have had your Covid jab?
I am completely fine today. So my experience has been; felt really rough the first night with a slightly raised temperature, a bit lethargic the next day and took a couple of paracetamol, next day back to normal. I would personally urge everyone who can to have the jab. Whatever the side effects it ...

I has a couple of paracetamol last night as I felt a bit rough. I wouldn't say I felt 100% this morning but certainly much better than last night but just the same going to take it easy today.

Re: How many of you have had your Covid jab?
I had my first Astra-Zenica jab this morning.
Again, so well organised at our local medical centre - in and out in 10 minutes. Just feeling a bit fluey tonight, though hopefully that won't last long and I am sure it is a 100 times better than getting Covid.

Re: Done my first Covid test at home
Second Covid test, done on Sunday, has come back negative.
This means that, as from tomorrow, I no longer have to isolate and will just be under the same restrictions as the rest of the general population. It also means that I can leave the house and go for a walk or a run outside
