Re: Some photos from Arne
I wonder if Burton have got spoonbills again. I never seen them till last year.
And I remember the first time I saw Egrets along the 'beach' at Parkgate and wondered what they were, never used to get those in this country, now we have 3 kinds.

Re: Some photos from Arne
I hope they have some Mo.
Little Egrets were first to appear again in the early 90's.
Now the Great White Egrets are appearing more and more, some even breeding here.
There are 17 at Dungeness at present, goes up every year.
Then there's the Cattle Egret showing more and more, plus as you say, Spoonbills.
They say there isn't a climate change, for whatever reason, going on.
Fear is that large birds are doing quite well, it's the little one's suffering.

Re: Some photos from Arne
some really good photos there Richard
I like the one with the flying avocets, and yes, the "handsome boy" looks magnificent
Re: Some photos from Arne
The first piccie is indeed of a very handsome boy.
As for the white deer, where we lived before there were three herds and each one had at least one white deer. One year there were three in one herd. I thought albino's were a genetic fault......

I did think about a Calendar, but the outlay was a little worrying, but thank you for your nice comments.
