It's kind of hard to see what's going on from the picture. Are the leaves eaten or curling? Any sticky deposits or anything?

I can't tell from the picture either.
There is something called peach leaf curl that attacks plum & cherries. That (or some other disease? - hazy memory) is why they say don't prune in winter.
Or are there aphids on the underside of the leaf?
My plum crop is light this year - wont need to thin like I usually do. The pear don't look good either.

Thanks Karen & Mo, will check the leafs properly and you're right the photos rubbish

Looks like caterpillar munching to me.
Most trees can withstand a little bit of damage so I would not worry.
