Sweet pepper plant has produced these?

Post by kitla »

The sweet & chilli peppers did very well in the greenhouse this year.
When I thought they'd finished they started flowering again, so I brought one of each plant indoors. The chilli produced a few more red chillis & the sweet pepper started growing 5 more fruits. But they all grew into these strange little things, about the size of a plumb, with a pointy tip. (sorry for sideways pic)

While I was typing this I decided to cut one open, it had some webs & caterpillar poop in it! I cut another & there was a tiny green caterpillar living inside. Anyone know if the caterpillars could've caused it to grow differently.

No I dont fancy eating them.sile} Apart from being small, odd shaped & having that pointy thing on the end, they've not ripened past the dark green stage. It was a bit of an experiment, bringing them indoors to see if they'd keep going.
