Just started to watch the whole series again as first time round only watched one or two.
The book that goes with the series is Rick Stein's India - In Search of the Perfect Curry. 'Curry' is a foreign concept in India as virtually no one uses the expression. Rather than curry, they would say gravy, or perhaps 'tempering' if is a mixtures of spices added to a dish towards the end of cooking.
