My sandwiches - marks for presentation please

Post by Richard »

I won't ask for technical merit for obvious reasons and fair enough I didn't make them. But I did cut them and put them on the Plate.
I haven't tampered with Photoshop, so marks for Artistic presentation please......

Not quite, it was for 8 people but only two showed up. But I had a couple and the chickens get the rest.
Chef now trusts me with this job. I still have to master cutting up the Toffee Cheesecake though, so I didn't include that one !
(and I do warm the knife!!).
I shall still be glad when I'm back with the cricket team though!

Happens all the time. The Cricket Club host lots of conferences and retail 'doo's' (you know, the Wedding Dress Sale etc).
This instance was a Sport's Company hiring the Pavilion. There were supposed to be 8 Salespersons turn up.
Good thing they didn't because the two outnumbered the customers through the day!
In winter I'm working half in the Catering and half in the Cricket Academy.
The good news, with the summer as well, is that I eat very well, as do the chickens and the cats !
It's the old thing of - you've 30 people, you offer two menu's, so you have to do 20 of each.
Management are quite amused by me walking to my car every day with jars, bottles and plastic bags full of soup, rice, cooked vegetables and other goodies !
I'm sure if Meanqueen worked there, she'd have a field day as well !!
I absolutely detest waste.

Whoa - professional)t'
Yum what a feast you have with all that food not getting eaten at the do's:razz:
We used to have leftovers at work when we had lunch meetings or committee meetings and i used to eat them after the meeting! I also hate food going to waste - seeing good food in the bin makes me feel awful...

Hi, I really shouldn't be sitting here browsing, no driving at the moment, so I need to look at alternative ways of making some money.
I hate food waste as well, I eat everything I buy, and any free stuff lying around. I have been known to pick over the remnants of my friends meals when they have pushed the plate aside, with some odd looks from the other diners.
Richard, your sarnies look good, can you send me some leftovers in a food parcel next time?
