Has anyone tried removing ear wax with candles?
If so, was it better than anything else you've tried and where did you get them from?
I've heard good reports about this method.
Thanks, Richard

I think you put the candle in a holder which goes in the ear. Then the candle wax / heat draws the wax from the ear.
Have to watch you don't doze off though
I'm guessing it's a certain kind of wax that the candle's made of ??

...hopi ear candles.
You can buy the special candles from Holland and Barrett, online or other health food shops.
Biosun is the main make, although you can get others.
They work by vacuum, the heat draws up the gunge/wax etc. It can take up to 43 hours for the gunge to come out.
(am looking into doing a course!!)

wax
Ive just had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment for the removal of ear wax. I was totally deaf on one side and had dizziness too...eeek. The doc offered me antibiotics and told me to book an appointment with the nurse next week... they were off sick or on holiday so I had a long wait. Kept using earex to soften wax but didnt bother with antibiotics as there was no pain and I dont like them anyway. Now I am better after having it syringed and hey..I can hear again. You just dont have to get sick over here, or at least give plenty of notice that you are going to be!!!
