ive just signed up for my first charity bike ride!!

Post by boosmummy »

Its in may and its 20 miles. I know its not a lot but it's enough to start off with, and its for st catherines hospice, which is a hospice near by for cancer patients, that looked after both my grandfather and my mother in law.
They are truly amazing and they dont get any government funding, they rely a lot of fundraising.
When my mother in law was poorly both mr husband and i stayed over in her room, they got us a bed, they made us breakfast in the morning, they were/are amazing and im super excited to be raising money for them!!!

Well done BM, I have so much time for hospices and as you say with no government funding. I went on a palliative care course at our local hospice and I just can`t speak highly enough of the standard of care given in hospices and by their community teams.
(20 miles is quite some distance I think)

Good for you - I always think its astonishing that hospices don't get govt funding - they do such amazing work.

I agree Julie, they are very special places which deserve our support.
Good luck BM)t'
