Can you get a darning needle with a bigger eye, and use something like a thin cord, or wool. If you use fabric with a looser weave the needle should go through alright. A flannelette sheet or thin blanket. A big blanket stitch all around should be fine, it doesn't matter what it looks like.

I am sorry that Photobucket have ruined this thread by removing all my pictures. It seems they want me to upgrade, which will probably mean they want money from me. They can whistle, I'm not paying.
This explains why there are a few photo's missing from my blog. I used Photobucket briefly when I had reached my free storage limit. I now pay gooooglie £4 a year for unlimited storage.

Oh that's a shame.
I didn't realise there was a limit and then you have to pay.
Typical eh ?

I will not be beaten. Thanks to Richard's advice I can post pictures here via Twitter, which is free. I opened my Summer House for the Open Gardens event last month. Inside I displayed my artworks. It was a busy day, people loved my pictures, and I enjoyed telling them how they were made.
