Re: Do you know any Chicken or other Poultry Breeders
Hi,
Just an up-date to let you know I have now managed to get 100 Breeders listed in 45 Counties around England, Scotland and Wales.
Thanks for the help some of you gave me (I sent out over 600 emails!!).
I even got a Breeder on the Isle of Skye list yesterday!!
I shall give it another push in late February as I think some may not have listed being Winter etc.
Richard
(The other good news is that it gives DTL an extra 50 pages in total!).

Re: Do you know any Chicken or other Poultry Breeders
hi Richard,I bought my first trio of hens this year (March). Two warrens and a blackrock. Very pleased with my girls ,who seem very healthy, and are still laying every day
I bought them from Ottaways Poultry in Carmarthenshire. He answered my (practiced) questions, and said that I could contact him if I had any other concerns. Hope this is of use to you, thanks for such a helpful site.

Re: Do you know any Chicken or other Poultry Breeders
Hi Richard et al. Due to the necessity of moving to a more manageable house, I have to get rid of my poultry. I was trying to get a new breed going, called Roadrunner Rookies. They were supposed to be long legged lean birds with crowns, (they have Sicilian Buttercup in them) flowing crests and tails and long vulture hocks. They are healthy hardy (can roost all winter in trees) and very good layers, but they do not as yet conform to anything remotely resembling a definite standard. More or less just pretty little banties. If anyone is interested hens are £7 but you have to take a free cockerel as well. (East Kent)
