We're moving into a terraced house very soon (long garden but close neighbours) and sadly can't take our beautiful "Vardy" with us as he's an early and vocal riser.
He is 10 months old, very gentle with our two hens, calm and sweet. We really don't want to have him put down so hoping we can find him a new home.
We're based in South Somerset but happy to travel a realistic distance to rehome him.
Hoping someone can help!
Many thanks, Anna
Please help! Need to rehome our gorgeous cockerel
Re: Please help! Need to rehome our gorgeous cockerel
sorry I cant help (have one already)but make sure your new neighbours actually object to him before you give him up. I was surprised that our neighbours quite liked our cockerel, and missed the sound when I didnt have one! We have a stout wooden coup which muffles the crowing enough that we hear it (ours crows at night) but it doesnt wake us.
If it has to be, then I recommend the facebook group "cockerel trader"
