Video killed the radio star, Video killed the radio star
Who sang that? Biggles? Buggles? Some one like that.
But obviously it did not , it was actually Col. Mustard in the Hallway with the Broomstick (Now that was a board game to enjoy) but back on track.
Reading about all the hassle at BBC Radio and the replacing/sacking of all the "Older" presenters I was wondering if anyone here still actually listens to the radio? When in the UK I used to enjoy Radio 2 listening to Ken Bruce and Drive Time (but I cannot remember who used to host it) amongst other programmes. Now, even though it is available via the internet I never listen to it, mainly (due to our lifestyle) as we are always busy doing something outside during the day and early evening.
So, are you still tuned into the airwaves?
Just remembered, it was Johnny Walker on Drive Time, many years ago!
Are you tuned in? Or tuned out?

Re: Are you tuned in? Or tuned out?
I would not go out of my way to listen to radio except when in the car (local stations for travel updates) or at work (with ear phones, listening to music) if working on a mind numbing task
Re: Are you tuned in? Or tuned out?
I too mainly listen to the radio when I am driving, but listen to Classic FM when I am getting up.
Re: Are you tuned in? Or tuned out?
Always have it on in the car. So when I read books I often find that I've heard some but not all on Book at Bedtime.
And I record a few programmes to listen to while washing up etc. Record TV quizzes to watch while eating, but rarely just listen or watch.

I listen to the radio in the car, and that's about it. It's tuned in to Radio 4, if there is nothing interesting on, I turn it off. I have a stereo at home. Radio, tapes, cd's, and record deck. I haven't had it on for ages. I get all my entertainment from youtube.

I tend to do the same, though this does lead on to the odd CD purchase!
