I found a thread on here regarding music but it is old and locked so I thought another one maybe of interest.
Now I listen to a vast range of music, some of it definitely not what you would call "main stream" but I was never one to follow the crowd so here is one thing I am enjoying at present.... Mongolian Throat Music. One of the main groups who have fused this folk music with rock music is The HU.
Not sure if I can put this link here:

And a softer one..

Anyone else listening to some good "vibes" at present? Now that makes me sound young and hip, strange as I am old and past it!

Re: What are you listening to?
I listen to Classic FM at home and when I am travelling, interspersed with Radio Humberside. The latter for the local news, I am not a fan of the music.
I do watch music on You Tube, recently The Bee Gees, classical arias, and recently I have managed to identify some beautiful guitar music, which is Tarrego, Recueros de la Alhambra.
I like quiet in the home, so do not have background music on. Travelling yesterday I was really pleased to hear one of Grieg's Piano Concertos, and Tchiakowsky's Piano Concerto, both popular pieces.

After a strange day where I seemed to be busy all day but have achieved nothing, I am winding down listening to this man..

Always liked his voice either solo or with the Highwaymen.
Johnny Cash.

Re: What are you listening to?
Who else could I listen to today, the one and only Tina Turner.
Sad hear she has just died but the music she performed and has recorded (for me) made her one of the true legends.
Her records never really encapsulated the aura she had when on stage. She was a great performer.

Relaxing listening to this guy, Avi Kaplan. He was part of the Pentatonix, a Cappella band then left to do his own thing.

Crumbs, Trev, I have never heard of most of the people you mention!
Elvis, Johnny Cash, Abba, and Neil Diamond are my tops for pop music.

Re: What are you listening to?
I must admit I do have a rather varied taste in music.
All these artists are regularly listened to in our home, always enjoyed Johnny Cash especially when performing with the "The Highwaymen". Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson what a group of performers, the recordings I have watched of their concerts just amaze me.

Re: What are you listening to?
I'm like you Trev I have a pretty eclectic taste in music...I don't have a particular genre I listen to if I like a song I like a song.... but as an idea of what I like: The Foo Fighters (I think because they have some very different music as a group), Queens of the Stone Age for something a bit rocky but then I'll flick to Taylor Swift, Pink, Sia for pop. Love Johnny Cash. Florida Georgia Line for country style music. Queen was a big listening thing and has been for a long time because they have such varied tunes as a group (bit like the Foos)..love their older stuff though.

Re: What are you listening to?
Queen, Freddie Mercury, just brilliant. Roy Orbison, love his music, Simon and Garfunkel, and I have missed out The Beatles, such talent. I am a devoted fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber`s music also. Dolly Parton, what a voice. I could go on and on, and Chopin.
Re: What are you listening to?
I have been listening to this group for years and have just watched one of their earlier concerts. Not a group for everyone but the sound they produce is basic and raw. I put the headphones on, raise the volume and get lost in it. I suppose that is what old guys like me just do

Re: What are you listening to?
Just watched your link Trev, different to say the least, but not my cup of tea. I prefer Chopin, Beethoven, Tchiakowsky, etc.
Re: What are you listening to?
I agree they will not be to everyone's taste but watching them in concert is breathtaking.
Tonight as I type this I am listening to:

Holst - The Planets
