Three years ago we bought aconites for our small orchard area. They were slow to come up, and out of twenty plants, we ended up with nine flowering. This year, apart from a plant given by a friend, which has been flowering for several weeks, our original lot are showing no leaves.
We are wondering if they have died off, though snowdrops, hyacinths and bluebells are up, or coming up. Has anyone any experience of aconites being this late (East Yorkshire, near the coast)?
A question about aconites
Re: A question about aconites
I have spotted some pale and weedy looking aconite leaves, and near them are two buds, so hopefully the aconites are on their way.
Re: A question about aconites
Fingers crossed here for a good show.
Re: A question about aconites
We now have four lots of aconite leaves and flowers, slowly but surely...
