gardening weather forecast

Post by kitla »

Does anyone know of a good website for this? that's clear about the risk of frost etc. I keep finding sites that call themselves gardening forecasts but really arent much use. Thing is, it's a dodgy month for gardeners, lots of things outgrowing the pots, greenhouse is full to bursting with leggy seedlings & I'm hanging on just one more day.....then another. I think we're due for a grass frost or 2 this week, even though the temperature wont drop to 0. So the trifid runner bean that's trying to escape the greenhouse may have to wait a bit longer for freedom of the veg patch.

I use netweather .
It gives hour by hour forecasts for your postcode (extrapolating the met office forecast to take account of your altitude).
There is a 'will it frost' page but it shows the minimum temp for the 24 hours of a date - what you really need is sunset to sunrise.
Let me know if you find a better one.
