Running in and out trying to plant cuttings between gales and snow showers, I noticed that the petals on one yellow primula and one clump of snowdrops are all ragged, as though they've been chewed.
There's no sign of rabbit activity anywhere - anyone any idea what might be going on? Slugs, maybe?
Raggedy petals
Re: Raggedy petals
Something eats mine too. Slugs sounds a good guess (I do have rabbits but shouldn't think they'd leave enough to be raggedy).

Re: Raggedy petals
Do you think they'd eat the petals and leave the leaves?
Re: Raggedy petals
Maybe the leaves are tougher or more bitter. Maybe they don't like eating up their greens. No idea really, just guessing.

I would put my money on snails/slugs, horrible things that they are. Go out at night time with a torch and you will see them.
