Household Bleach & Borax

Using products you have around the home for other jobs

Bleach

1. Cleaning Glass Dishes etc .


Fill your dishbowl with water and add a spoonful of Bleach to bring your items to a shine. Ensure you rinse all the items thoroughly afterwards.

2. Pathway Algae and Moss .

Add 75ml of Bleach to every 2 litres of water and scrub into the Pathway. This will not only finish off any algae and moss, but make the pathway less slippery as well. Be careful of bedding plants and grass - they will be wiped out as well!

3. Flower Vases .

Adding a small amount of Bleach (about half a capful) and a spoonful of Sugar to the water in a Flower Vase will make the flowers last longer.

4. Disinfectant Spray .

Add a few drops of bleach in a used spray container, fill with Water and use it wherever you wish. Bleach is ideal for cleaning Bathware Porcelein.

Borax

1. Clearing Windows an Mirrors .

When washing windows and any other glass, mix 2 tablespoonfuls of Borax into about 500ml of Water. This will not only give you a shine but will eliminate streaking as well.

2. Urine odour in Beds .

Go over the sheets with a damp cloth, then rub some borax into the material. Leave for a while then vacuum up the powder

3. Keep Ants from entering your Home .

Have a look round the outside walls of your House during Summer month's for Ants and other intrusive Insects and sprinkle Borax into any Crevices. Better still, go round all the walls anyway!

4. Carpet and Rug Stains .

Follow the same procedure for bed mishaps and vacuum well afterwards.
